Atheist, evolutionist, Can you explain how did life came into existence from nothing?

nobody can (yet?)... also, its difficult to define %26#039;life%26#039;- this being one of the major elements in solving this riddle
Atheist, evolutionist, Can you explain how did life came into existence from nothing?
Two great programs to watch; The Universe on the History Channel, look for the episode titled %26quot;The Big Bang%26quot;. For a short version check out the first 5 minutes of an X-Files episode %26quot;The Sixth Extinction%26quot; based on Richard Leakey%26#039;s theory. Each will explain how we went from being single celled organisms to well life as we know it.
Atheist, evolutionist, Can you explain how did life came into existence from nothing?
Yes. It%26#039;s quite simple, really.

On the first day of nothing, nothing said: %26quot;let there be light%26quot;, and then their was light.

On the second day of nothing, nothing said %26quot;let there be sprite%26quot;, and their was sprite, and nothing drank it. And nothing blessed this sprite, for it was good.

On the third day, nothing said %26quot;let there be a fight%26quot;, and he fought with himself and many parts of nothing developed into life.
Reply:It didn%26#039;t. Where did you get that silly idea? The only thing YOU have to decide is which theory is more plausible.
Reply:Indeed I cannot and neither do you. And if you think that God created Life then I have to ask you to explain what and where is God. And how did he create the Universe? And how did he create himself from nothing?

We both are left with a lot of explaining to do. And, despite that, each of us think himself right, but only one can be right.

Which one?
Reply:probiotic soup, of course! ;))
Reply:No one knows, nor will they ever know, if %26#039;it%26#039; was truly nothing that everything came from. Maybe it transformed into something new. Perhaps we are all delusional. But I do know that there are some questions (that are not stupid) that can not be answered.
Reply:I just answered a question very similar to this.

Check out my answers.

------------------

At the quantum or quantum bit level the physical events that happen are pretty much random, arbitrary or chaotic.

At such levels the universe is also contradictory, incomplete or otherwise crazy by everyday standards, with time flowing backwards as well as forward, future choices determining past events, things randomly popping in and out of existence, and some things having no properties until something such as a human observer interacts with it.

The mathematics of chaotic systems seems to lead to universes being fundamentally chaotic and digital at the lowest levels, but interacting to make an ordered analog world at the macro level we observe.

There is however a big difference between random things that happen to work, things that are created with hindsight and those that evolve without hindsight.

A pile of rubble that is left after a storm or a formed dune after a sandstorm is a fairly simple structure.

If piles of rubble stick together to form larger piles we have something like evolution where the larger piles are made entirely of selected parts which can survive a storm as little piles.

One of the simplest examples of order arising out of chaos is seen in %26quot;The Game of Life%26quot; which is a computer program where random shapes follow simple rules to create objects that act like living organisms that eat other forms or form defenses to survive.

This principle can applied to bio-evolution can explain how in principle complex organisms can evolve.

There is for instance well documented proof that complex things like eyes did in fact evolve incrementally rather than just popping into existence by being engineered by a creator with hindsight.

There is however a problem.

Our universe is not a random thing. There are many aspects which if changed ever so slightly would have resulted in life as we know it being impossible.

Even though most academics ignore the fact that life might not need to be carbon based or based on physics as we know it, our universe is far more like a highly engineered tool or a highly evolved organism than a random pile of debris.

This means that before time existed for our universe before our Big Bang there was some intelligent involved. Ken Ham would argue that this intelligence is God, whilst Lee Smolin would argue that such intelligence evolved prior to the Big Bang.

This however leads to a possible paradox since time for us started with the Big Bang and from our perspective such Creation or Evolution must have happened %26quot;before time%26quot;.

This then leads us to the conclusion that life in our universe did not come from nothing, but was at least partially created before Einsteinian time.

This then leaves us with a compromise where we could ascribe the name of God to the life before time that directs the development of events in our universe, but also leaves the possibility that God or God%26#039;s thoughts may have evolved from initial concepts of self awareness or creation of basic forms before branching out to the complexities required for our universe to operate like a precision watch.

There may be mechanisms to decide to what extent our universe is a construction like a watch or an evolved organism like a flowering plant, but I will leave that to your own investigations should you be interested.
Reply:I don%26#039;t know exactly what you think an %26#039;evolutionist%26#039; is, but if it has anything to do with the theory of evolution by natural selection then you%26#039;re addressing your question to the wrong people.

There are several proposed models of abiogenesis, and this isn%26#039;t a particularly convenient medium to discuss them. If you%26#039;re interested, I suggest you talk to your local librarian.
Reply:I think you mean %26quot;how did it come into existence from inanimate material?%26quot;, not %26#039;nothing%26#039; as nobody believe that life came from %26#039;nothing%26#039;.
Reply:There isn%26#039;t nothing. The Universe is full of organic polar molecules capable of self-assembly into larger organic molecules. Since reaction times with simple molecules is short, there has been plenty of time in the earth%26#039;s history to do a lot of random assembly and what works, gets to repeat and grow.
Reply:Post this in the science section (where it belongs) and I%26#039;ll answer it shortly.

And, neither Atheism nor evolution have anything to do with biogenesis.
Reply:You%26#039;re still waiting for a good reply - that%26#039;s because this is a very poor question - nobody believes life came into existence from nothing, not even the dreaded atheist or evolutionist.

Apparently there%26#039;s something wrong with what you believe.
Reply:your question assumes linear time where there is a beginning. however, there is another possibility: life goes in circles: there is no beginning.

at the end of the day, nobody really knows anything.

our future generations will wonder why forefathers even bother about why the sky is blue.
Reply:There is no such thing as nothing, for if nothing was before then there should be nothing now, like you or me. You see, it%26#039;s word play, but there is more. Even though space seems to be nothing it only seems to be that way because we need to learn more to understand space and the words we use to describe and explain it as well as our ideas. Since nothing can%26#039;t exist and time is infinite, without beginning or end, then the laws of chance. of which none are zero, makes it mandatory that you and I pop into existence. So read this more than once so you understand, and you don%26#039;t have to agree with anything I said...............
